| Thorncreek was once a proud frontier town. Now, it survives on silence, superstition, and fear. Dust coats every road, whispers follow every stranger, and no one trusts the sheriff anymore This is the heart of the Wild Boylian universe and the first town close to collapse. |
CULTURE OF THORNCREEK
1. Rough Respect System
Respect is earned through deeds, not titles.
Duel victories, bounty hunting, or surviving the wastelands earns you street cred.
They have something called the Creek Count a personal reputation number whispered about in town.
2. Faith & Superstition
Every week, the town gathers at The Creek Chapel, not just for God but to keep the curses away.
Locals hang crow feathers above doors to ward off Sand Spirits (they believe the desert brings madness).
3. Local Drink & Food
Red Root Whiskey a strong local brew rumored to be mixed with herbs that boost courage or curse your guts.
Spine Jerky a sharp dried meat dish only real men dare chew without flinching.
4. Music & Art:
Harmonica battles are a tradition on weekends winner gets free drinks and ladies’ attention.
Thorncreek tattoo artists mark surviving bounty hunters with snake ink a symbol of experience.
THORNCREEK CURRENT STATE
A disease called Black Vein Fever is spreading. It begins with fatigue, then dark lines appear on the arms. Nobody speaks of it out loud, but it's slowly infecting the town. Some say it came from the underground well that dried up.
Shady Takeover
Sheriff Marlow Grant is pretending to keep order, but he’s working with The Dusthorn Syndicate (a secret network expanding quietly). He’s letting criminals roam, as long as they don’t touch his cut.
Diabolical Whispers
Old folk claim something is moving in the Thorncreek mines, abandoned since the collapse 10 years ago. Some nights, distant screams echo. Kids dare each other to peek in. No one returns who goes too deep.
The Tavern is a War Zone
The Rusted Barrel Saloon is the only place left with real firelight and life, but tension brews. Fights are frequent. Strange outsiders show up asking too many questions. Someone’s looking for Boylian
Thorncreek will likely be the first town to fall into full chaos unless Boylian and his crew fight the growing rot.
